Below is information regarding the difference between a first generation Puggle and a second generation Puggle
A first generation Puggle is 1/2 Beagle and 1/2 Pug. We always use an AKC registered Beagle for the mother, and an AKC registered Pug is the father, mostly because Beagles tend to be far better at raising babies than Pugs.
A second generation Puggle refers to a Puggle puppy that comes from a Puggle mother, and a Pug father.
The resulting puppies are therefore comprised of 3/4 Pug, and 1/4 Beagle. They tend to look much more like Pugs than first generation Puggles. They also tend to be smaller than First Generation Puggles
